Zorba night:  Rising From the Ashes

Date:           To be determined

Location:      Marin County (TBD)

Cost:           Contribution

In the movie Zorba the Greek, Zorba (Anthony Quinn), the rough featured peasant bon vivant and Basil , a stiff Englishmen, lose everything when their lumber transport business venture comes crashing down in spectacular fashion.   With everything a total shambles, Basil approaches Zorba and says to him “will you teach me to dance?”  The movie concludes with the two men dancing on the beach.  Here is a link to this classic scene:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cXNApZ2ALiQ

In this evening, we will join Zorba metaphorically as we both mourn and celebrate the collapse of our 401K’s , the loss of our jobs, and the other challenges in our lives.

Please let me know if you are interested in turning your recent challenges upside down, and celebrating the aliveness and possibility that emerges when we honor our setbacks, and dance on the ashes of what was.
